The Rotondo hut offers whole set of worthwhile and interesting routes at all degrees of difficulty. The wide spectrum covers the relatively easy tour from Realp to the hut and further across Grosses Leckihorn and Stotziger First back to Realp. This route can be done in almost every condition, from middle of december up to june. With an approx. 31/2 -4 hours ascent on both days and without greater technical difficulties this is an easy route. There are also longer and technically more demanding combinations such as from Gemsstock to the Pizzo Lucendro and from the hut to Oberwald. A route with a special atmosphere is the ascend of the Pizzo Pesciora skiing down to the Bedretto valley.
With the suggested routes a full week of worthwhile tours can be done, particularly if you consider changing the hut, e.g. to the Capanna Piansecco or to the Hotel Tiefenbach.
